TENNIS ACADEMIES

There are currently 2 private tennis academies affiliated and registered with the Tennis Association of Maldives. People looking to get tennis lessons can choose to get the services of either of these academies.

Through aid of these academies we hope to have an even greater reach in increasing the number of tennis players in the country to allow for better competitions and leagues to be formed and to ensure the steady growth of the sport as well.

Aku Tennis Academy

This tennis academy was founded and is run by one of the longest serving and senior coaches in the Maldives tennis scene – Akram. He has a proven track record of creating good tennis players starting from the basics. He has had a hand in training a fair number of players at the association who are now competitive tennis players. 

Maldives Tennis Academy

This tennis academy was founded and is run by one of the best male tennis players who held the mantle of Men’s Open Champion of Maldives for a number of years in recent history – Farish. Their focus is on quality of the training session than quantity by maintaining a player-coach ratio whereby the maximum is 5-1. They have 3 full-time coaches and 1 part-time senior coach taking care of the players. Their goal is to be an outstanding base for player development where all players have the maximum possibilities to reach their full potential.
