The TAM training program, known as Youth Development Programme (YDP), focuses on developing tennis for young players starting from the age group of Under 8 to the age group of Under 18. The 4 coaches currently employed by TAM are assigned to conduct the YDP and conducting training for the National Mens & Women’s team of Maldives. TAM currently employs 4 foreign coaches from Mr. Farrokh Etminan (Iranian), Mr. Sujan Gurung (Niraj Gurung) (Head Coach Juniors). In addition, there are a number of TAM registered coaches working at the private academies, who conducts private coaching, for a fee, using the TAM facility.
Mr. Farrokh Etminan (Head Coach)
Coach Farrokh etminan (Iranian) is an International Tennis Federation recognised coach who joined TAM in 2024. His keen instinct and skills in organising good training sessions and tournaments is a vital value added to the association and the National Team representing in International events such Asian Games, Davis Cup & The Billie Jean Kings cup.
Mr. Sujan Gurung (Niraj Gurung) (Junior Head Coach)
Coach Niraj (Nepalese) has a successful background of coaching tennis over past years starting as a tennis coach at ATA tennis academy from 2021-2022. Coach Niraj has conducted and completed training courses as a tennis coach in Maldives mainly focusing on development of younger generation and have competed national tournaments in Nepal.
